Our Humble Beginning

Exactly on the 5th of March 2015, Rev Mercy was involved in an accident where a tree fell on her while at work. The road to recovery after this was long, and it really put things into perspective regarding her priorities and how she could make an impact on society. She took church seriously and continued working as counsellor and Pastor for a few more years. She began branching out towards working with young people in March 2015 at Danfa on the outskirts of Accra. By July 2016, the youth had become her sole focus and E-Life had expanded to Haatso-Ecomog. We had been granted access to the compound of CMRF in Haatso and with such a space we saw over 700 children pass through our meetings. On Mother's Day, 2017, we started a branch at Anyamam. This branch sees over 120 children and youth attending its weekly meetings. Due to its success, E-life expanded to Sege City - about 12km away from Anyamam and 70 Km east of Accra - a 45 mins drive from the Tema motorway.
E-life is registered with the local assembly as an NGO to support the youth with skills training. Unfortunately 2020 came and with it the COVID-19 pandemic, weekly meetings had to come to a halt. When COVID restrictions were finally eased, E-Life had to move its base to Ecomog with the teenagers due to the closing of the CMRF centre. However, there were still meetings in Haatso on occasion to include the very young members. There have been over 700 children and youth over the years who are registered members of E-life

Our current Projects

  1. To acquire land for a centre near Sege. On this land we will set up a school with a proper curriculum for our vocational skills training and provide accommodation for our members who need it.

        2. To provide sanitary pads for girls. As things stands most girl members miss club meetings and even school when they're menstruating.

        3. To have some form of transport to be able to visit the different communities and bring young people and helpers from different places together.
